Illinois Baptists for Biblical Values is a Christ-centered and Biblically-based effort to impact our state for Jesus Christ. Our goal is to connect the people of God to the people of government.

Illinois Baptists For Biblical Values is an effort focused on furthering the cause of Christ at every level of our state's government. We believe this begins by encouraging the people of God to be actively aware and involved with the people and policies in our legislative process.

It is universally true that “righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14:34

For God’s people who know and possess the truth to remain silent and inactive on the sidelines of government would be a sad and unbiblical practice. We look to passages like 1 Timothy 2:1-4 which states, “exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

All throughout history, it has been God’s will to stand for truth and right even in the police and governmental realm. We are inspired and challenged by the examples of men and women like Daniel, Esther, and the Apostle Paul who impacted the governments of their day for the purposes of Jesus Christ.
